Twice a month the Nakewin Centre and the Conklin Community Association host a Seniors Luncheon. This typically takes place on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:00 p.m. A Bingo activity takes place following the luncheon. Seniors 55+ can contact Mary- Jean for more information. If you anticipate missing the luncheon, contact Mary-Jean so that meals are ordered accordingly. Typically, once a year Mary-Jean will hold a Seniors’ Gathering. This meeting will have government officials present, allowing Seniors to discuss any concerns or ensure they are up-to-date on all community, federal, and provincial information. An annual Christmas luncheon and Bingo is hosted at the Centre by Karen’s Katering. If you know of a Senior who would benefit from the Santa’s Anonymous program, contact Peggy or Mary-Jean prior to December 1st. |
